Cloning Ethics

To start off, yes I am Caldari. I'm not some Amarr fanatic. This is not some overzealous rant about God's opinion on human cloning. That aside here we go;

I was a running low on cash and their were no assignments for me from Alpha Assembly so I decided to see if my favourite agent had any work for me. I hadn't worked with Erocque in a while and I felt it was time to drop in for a visit.

"Hey Er. Whats up?"

"Hiya. Have we met before? I can hardly keep track of my clients, there's simply too many of you!"

"Don't bullshit me like that you and I both know I have an 8.2 with you."

"Okay, okay! Don't get so touchy. What's going on, need a job?"

"Yea, preferably something that pays well."

"I've got just the thing. The Seven have shown their ugly faces in Mirilene and opened up and illegal brothel. You will have to head on over and break up their operation."

So of course I take the job and head on over. As I'm nearing the jump gate I find myself thinking there was something strange about the job, something familiar. I find the deadspace pocket that the brothel was set up in and clean out the patrol's. As I approach the building a familiar name shows up on my scanner.

"Kruul"

Suddenly it struck me. I had already disposed of this pirate in a previous mission no more then a year past yet here he was again.

What kind of society do we live in where a known pirate can have himself cloned?

I mean, obviously members of large associations like the Serpentis are afforded some benefits but The Seven are a small splinter cell of rogues. What has come to the Galaxy? What is the point of me destroying these criminals if they are just going to literaly reappear?

Besides the massive ISK I make of course.

Scrap Collector

Let me start of by saying salvaging is a dirty, boring job that might be acceptable for your average pilot and those Minmatar. I chide, chide. All jokes aside there is no reason a Caldari Pod Pilot who graduated in the top 5% of his class should be scrounging around wrecks for scrap metal and other spare parts. It is a waste of my talents and my time.

It seems Alpha Assembly being as small as it is believes searching through others trash is the best way to acquire material for production. Simply put, salvaging is the space equivalent of being a sewage collector. I am not happy with this assignment and I will be sure to bring it up to my superiors as soon as I return to Mirilene.

In other news I have finished fitting my Caracal, she will be a tough ship to bring down. All the new Tech II equipment is thanks to my payment from AALTD. Maybe I should rethink complaining about the assignments they have been throwing me.

In the end I cant really complain. They pay me well enough to live and the quarters they've given me are quite comfortable. I'm sure in a couple months we could build this corporation into a dominant player in the Galaxy.

New Job

I left earlier this earlier this morning, 6:00ish EVE standard time, for the Mirilene System where my new employers are based. The pay is alright but being a small company they don't offer me any benefits of any kind. Alpha Assembly is a small company created to "expand the field of rigging technology and lead the market in the production of Rigs". We'll see how that turns out, they are mainly a large group of ex-security officers and fighter pilots.

It's been quite some time since I left the Kaalakiota corp. to explore my options in the galaxy. They left me with nothing more then a cheap stripped down Ibis after I handed in my resignation papers, fortunately I had enough ISK put away to purchase myself a basic issue Caracal and finance a skeleton crew. Don't believe the propaganda kids, being a pod-pilot isn't all its cracked up to be.

Recently I have received my certification for the use of Battlecruisers. The training course was expensive but I feel as soon as I can find some ISK piloting a Drake will aide me in my endeavors into International space. Hopefully I can convince Alpha Assembly to finance one by the end of the month.
